Accessibility Statement

Our approach to making information and learning services usable, and how to request help or a reasonable adjustment.

This version issued:

1. Our approach

We aim to make the college website and learning services accessible to people with different abilities, devices and support needs. Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA guide improvements to digital content and interaction.

This statement is not a claim of independently audited or complete WCAG conformance. Accessibility depends on the particular page, document, media, browser and assistive technology. We welcome specific reports so barriers can be assessed and addressed.

2. Using the website

The public website provides Arabic and English pages, labelled form controls, visible form-error messages and navigation links. You can use your browser’s zoom, text and display settings and navigate links and controls using a keyboard.

Contact the college if navigation, a form, text contrast, reading order or a media item prevents you completing a task. You can use email to make the same enquiry if the contact form is inaccessible.

3. Documents, media and third-party services

Some supplied documents, article media and external platforms may present accessibility barriers. If a document, image or video does not convey the information you need in a usable form, request an alternative such as structured text, a transcript or an explanation.

An external website has its own accessibility arrangements. If that service is needed for a college activity, tell us so we can consider an accessible route or appropriate support within the college’s responsibilities.

4. Learning and assessment adjustments

Applicants and learners can request reasonable adjustments for communication, learning or assessment. Contact us early enough to discuss the barrier, the adjustment sought and any relevant course or assessment date. We will consider individual needs, the learning outcome and any legitimate assessment requirements.

Share only the information necessary to explain the request. If supporting evidence is needed, the college will explain why and how to provide it appropriately. Disability or health details should not be placed in a general contact message unnecessarily.

5. Reporting a barrier

Email info@asas-college.com with the page address or activity, the task you were trying to complete, what happened and the format or support that would help. If useful, include the device, browser and assistive technology you use. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to report a website issue.

The college will discuss the issue and the practical next step, including an alternative means of accessing information where appropriate. If the response does not resolve your concern, use the Complaints Policy and request a review.
